[00:00:01] Speaker A: My name is Ron DeVries, and I'm one of the hosts for this new Generation Spark podcast. I can't tell you how excited we are that you're here with us today. I'm here with our team, Anna, Ruth, Annika, and John, who will share a little bit about who we are.
[00:00:16] Speaker E: Every year, new statistics come out that reflect a deeply disheartening trend. Young Christians don't feel like they belong at their churches. As a result, loads of young adults are leaving the churches they grew up in.
[00:00:28] Speaker C: However, we're seeing another trend that's much more encouraging, that young Christians who are being discipled or mentored are much more likely to stay connected. That's where we come in.
[00:00:39] Speaker B: Our mission at Generation Spark is to equip churches all across the US and Canada to build these types of meaningful intergenerational relationships. It's not exactly a quick or easy process, but we're here for the long haul.
[00:00:54] Speaker D: So here at the Generation Spark podcast, we want to start that conversation. We're going to explore topics like leadership, belonging, and empathy. We're also going to chat about studies and statistics about trends in church culture and even the occasional book review.
[00:01:08] Speaker A: So we just want to say thank you so much for being here. We're so excited to explore these topics with you. If you'd like to know anything else about this ministry, you can contact
